An excellent interview. Dr. Titus appeared to be well versed in the topic and provided good summarizations of the previous discussion points after each break. Also, he didn't use the interview to push his personnel agenda or point of view. Will there be follow-up interviews with Dr. Titus or others?

We shall see. Thanks. I just got home from a lecture in Long Beach CA at the Health Freedom Expo. It went very well. I will upload it soon to YouTube.

Great. I've enjoyed the YouTube and Google videos - about 3 times each. Learn something new each time.

During the interview with Dr. Titus, you mentioned Dr. Kenneth Seaton and his work. A number of his articles are available through his web site at http://www.optimalhygiene.com/index.php?c=PDF-Articles. One article is about Albumin and its roles. In Dr. Seaton's view "...the level of albumin is the most important factor in determining mortality and morbidity from ALL causes." This article list 60 roles that albumin plays in the health of the body and individual, along with a state of Evidence, how albumin "answers all the theories on aging," along with a conclusion.
Some of the 60 roles appear to directly support the blood protein research and the conclusions reach by Dr. West and others (Life Formula). However, there are some roles that appear to indicate that a relatively high presence of albumin is required in and around the cells, which would seem, initially at least, not to support some of the Dry State assumptions. In particular, Dr. Seaton states "Sixty percent of albumin is actually within the connective tissue spaces, protecting cells and neutralizing their wastes....The higher the serum albumin, the higher the levels appear in the extravascular spaces, thereby maintaining homeostatis..." (#27 Connective Tissue). Dr. Seaton does state "Drainage of the connective tissue via the lymph canal system depends, to a large extent, on albumin in removing waste products from cells and purifying both the extravascular and lymph fluids" (#28 Lymph system). These remarks would seem to contradict the leakage and retention of blood proteins between the cells assumption, in that a significant level of blood protein is required between the cells for cell health and the flow of albumin is critical to the removal of waste products. As you are familiar with Dr. Seaton's work, have you found his findings align with Dr. West's blood protein research? |

Hi King,
I wish I had answered this back when you asked the question. The article I posted here entitled Your Body's Amazing Filtration System addresses just the main issues that shed far more light on homeostasis than Kenneth may understand from his research. The main purposes of net-filtration in homeostasis is best explained therein. It is quite complicated and Kenneth may not know about Guytons "Dry-State" discovery or of Mayerson or Drinker etc. Therefore yada yada yada for lack of time.

Dear King,
This is an interesting thread!! Just wanted to let everyone know that the above-reference article by Dr. Seaton is no longer where you listed it. It has disappeared from there, but fortunately I had downloaded it and I have reposted it on my own site, here: http://www.quackcenter.com/albumin.html I am trying to find Dr. Seaton's wonderful soap. I will report here if I do. Nancy |
