Default Light Fast Stroke Technique Explained

Over the past week or so, a few people have been asking me questions about my fathers technique of doing the light fast stroke to relieve pain etc. I apologize to any of you who felt you had to nag me, however, much good can perhaps come from it. Such as this post right here. You see, I could not remember my father saying whether you could stroke both ways, why is it fast, and why stroke in just one direction at times.

I will be honest with you, dealing with the specific reasons for the light, fast stroke I believe my father always emphasized fast because it allowed people to get more done in less time AND people often didn't get the LIGHT part. If people stroke faster they tend to get it about being easy on the tissue. Most of what happens is related to energy anyhow! Yet I offer the following to those who really want to pick my brain:

1) You can certainly stroke both directions (based on the one-way check valve principle alone) unless doing so intensifies the pain or causes a sickening feeling,

2) I can only theorize why stroking in one direction would be best to say the following: If there gets to be a pooling effect near the mouth of the lymphatic terminals THEN a sweeping effect in a focused direction would work best just like the act of sweeping a kitchen floor in a focused direction to create a pile for the dust pan. Only in this case you have numerous "dust pans". The sweeping effect for the interstitial spaces could provide higher efficiency for the suctioning lymphatic terminals. In other words IF my theory is true then: Stroking in only one direction helps to sweep the interstitial spaces in a focused direction which provides larger pools of plasma constituents to become available to the suctioning lymphatic terminals.

3) There are muscles within the walls of these vessels that function peristaltically that contract to propel the lymph fluid from check valve to check valve. It makes sense to me that they are triggered from pressure build up AND stroking in only one direction - even if it is away from the thoracic duct may somehow be less confusing to them and due to the one-way check valves the fluid will be kept flowing in the opposite direction towards the thoracic duct anyhow.

4) Some have said that speed is what generates the energy. Motion is life however too much motion does damage. Since I do not recall my father taking the time to explain the technique as in depth as this I believe he would not argue with that. Yet, I am sure he would caution people not to stroke TOO FAST because it is not unheard of for damage to tissue or check valves to be done. Since my father always stressed stroking AND holding I believe that the same benefits can be had by stroking slower.

5) Most importantly is the aspect with regard to the energy that is generated because I have long believed that most of the effectiveness of the techniques we teach are due to the electrical potentials that are able to build and organize themselves along the path. The energy may be generated through static transfer or otherwise more etheric means but what if stroking in one direction helps to polarize the area due to a cyclonic pooling effect? If so then Bjorn Nordenstroms theory of Biologically Closed Electric Circuits could be the answer we have been searching for - after all.

6) Regardless of the truthfulness of these theories my father had ample first hand experience with the light fast stroke and new it worked the way he teaches it. I consulted my older brother Corwin who is getting his license in Massage Therapy. He then reminded me that Dad WOULD stroke both ways for certain situations AND regardless of how you stroke or why - it has been proven to work!

7) Finally, I must relate the experience I had when I received my son for a weekend visit when he had a second degree sun burn. I didn't know until it began to get late and he started crying. I removed his shirt to see what was the matter and there they were. I tried applying Aloe Vera gel straight from the plant and that seemed to alleviate some of the pain however he was still hurting. It was too late to visit his clinic and it was a 45 minute drive. Finally my precious father came down to help. What he did was something I never would have thought to do and I had probably spent an entire year of my life listening to him. All he did was stroke the aura just about an inch away from the skin and within a few minutes of that my son began to stop crying. After about 5 minutes he could make a little contact without breaking the blister because of the Aloe Vera Gel and soon even the swelling was partially gone. My son went slept soundly that night - and that's a miracle!

So now that this is documented on the forum I believe my father would be proud of me.

Thanks so much! I rarely get comments and that seems like a shame.
